Today, four girls from year 5 had the privilege of attending a STEM event at Nottingham Girls’ High School  where they took part in science activities in biology, chemistry and physics. They thoroughly enjoyed all of the activities including learning more about birds, with egg and owl pellet dissection, as well as learning about and testing the acidity of household substances. The final activity was a favourite as they became structural engineers, designing and building the strongest paper straw bridge – one of our pairs were the overall winner of the day in this challenge!
