In an attempt to keep reading at the heart of our daily routines, Class 5 visited the Keyworth Library for the first time this year to explore different texts and broaden horizons in choosing books to read. Mrs Hallsworth introduced the children to the sections of the library and gave some useful hints and tips for selecting books as well as offering some recommendations! It was a wonderful afternoon for those already familiar with the library to share their expertise with other children, along with those who haven’t visited in a while to find their enthusiasm for the library once again. The children were very excited to come away with a book from the library and I am sure we will be having lots of discussions over the texts they chose over the coming weeks…look out for some book reviews of our selected books after Christmas. As well as having the excitement of exploring the shelves we also had enough time to find a comfy spot to begin getting stuck into a good book which was the perfect ending to our visit.
