I'm sitting in my office waiting for disco number 1 to start and am reflecting on the day.

This has been my first Children at Need 'Willow Brook style' and I'm lost for words! Firstly, the amount we raised was simply staggering. Well done to all for contributing so generously - £373 is an amount we can feel very proud of indeed. Secondly, the day has been full of fun and laughter. These are the kind of days we remember from primary school and they are so very important. Thank you to staff for their enthusiasm in organising the day.

Finally, if you've seen the photos - you'll know that I very much need to have a proper wash. I still have an awful lot of dried up 'swamp' in my hair and my ears. Still, that shower will have to wait, I've yet to experience my first Willow Brook disco!
